Take the guesswork out of finding your golf ball with Tracked Golf Balls. Designed with built-in smart tracking technology, these balls connect directly to your smartphone to help you locate your ball on the course and spend less time searching.

Each ball contains an active tracking chip that communicates with the smartphone app using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Your phone uses GPS to guide you towards the search area, while the signal from the ball helps you pinpoint its location when you get closer.

With a typical detection range of approximately 30 metres, the system can make finding balls in rough, long grass and other difficult areas much faster.

These aren’t just tracking devices inside a golf ball. They are constructed as 4-piece performance golf balls, featuring a urethane core, active mantle, Surlyn cover and specially designed rubber core to provide distance, feel and control.

HOW DOES THE TRACKING WORK?

Rather than placing a conventional GPS receiver inside the golf ball, the ball contains an active wireless tracking chip.

Your smartphone uses GPS to help guide you around the course and towards the approximate search area. Once you’re close enough, your phone detects the signal being transmitted by the ball, allowing you to narrow down its location.

Under normal conditions, the signal can generally be detected from approximately 30 metres away, although terrain, vegetation and other obstacles can affect the range.

BATTERY LIFE

Once activated, the internal battery is designed to last for approximately one year or longer under normal use.

The battery is not rechargeable; however, it is designed to normally outlast the usable lifespan of the golf ball.

Once the battery eventually runs out, the ball can still be used as a regular golf ball until it becomes worn.

WATER

The tracking signal is significantly reduced when the golf ball is submerged in water. For shots over lakes, ponds or other significant water hazards, we recommend using a standard golf ball if losing the tracked ball is a concern.

TOURNAMENT USE

Although the golf ball has been designed around standard golf ball requirements including weight, size, spherical symmetry, initial velocity and overall distance, tracked golf balls may not be approved for tournament or competition use.

They are primarily designed for recreational golfers who want to spend less time searching for balls and more time playing.
